The National Medical Commission has introduced that it’s going to withdraw the Graduate Medical Education Regulation (GMER) published in 2023. The official announcement was published on nmc.org.in on June 23, 2023. The GMER 2023 is now “withdrawn and canceled”.
It also stated “It’s informed that the circular with even number date 12.06.2023 issuing Guidelines for Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 is “WITHDRAWN AND CANCELLED”, with immediate effect.”

NMC withdraws Graduate Medical Education Regulation for 2023: NMC published the Graduate Medical Education Regulation in June 2023. The commission issued another document with a revised version of the regulation on June 12th, 2023.
NMC issued GMER 2023 regulations and guidelines to MBBS students that would be implemented during the next academic session, 2023-2024.
The GMER 2023 covered CBME Curriculum and Manpower Requirements in a Medical College for Research Facilities, Family Adoption Program, Admission of Students in the “Disability Category”, in MBBS courses, as well as the format to submit information about admission in a medical college.

NMC withdraws Graduate Medical Education Regulation for 2023: The NMC will conduct a webinar on the NeXT Exam, on June 27, 2018. This webinar will address all concerns and speculations regarding the National Exit Test. The next Exam will replace both the NEET PG Exam (formerly the FMGE Exam) and the NEET PG Exam if implemented.
